We gather from the Facebook page of Gangadhar Bhadani that he is no more. A very keen editor from India, he was known to many other editors from the region both in real life and on Wikipedia. On his Facebook page he had reported being unwell but little did most of us know of the gravity. He published an autobiography recently. Wishing strength to the bereaved friends and family. I would always remember the moments we spent together, I would always remember the time when we had long talks about our family, life outside of Wikipedia, during those 2 days during Wikimedia India Conference 2016, I would always remember. Rest in Peace. JimCarter09:09, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
May it be a sleep of peace and comfort, my friend. I'm sure you kept your promises; I know you exemplified generosity, dedication, and patience as a Wikipedian. Thank you for all you did. Anasuyas (talk) 21:57, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
My condolences to Bhadani's family. Very sad news. He was one of the first Wikimedians I encountered when I started here many moons ago, and I will remember his positive approach to all things wiki. Rest in peace, old friend. Green Giant (talk) 23:39, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Aw. I had some very early interactions with him, and was pleased when he became not just a productive contributor, but also an admin. Sleep well. DS (talk) 21:03, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I knew Mr. Bhadani from more than ten years ago on Wikipedia. He was a pioneer and leader amongst Indian Wikipedians, who looked up to him. He was unfailingly warm, gentle and kind, and devoted to the Wikipedia project and its coverage of India-related content. Thank you Sir for your wonderful spirit, many kindnesses and immense contributions.
Just saw this now. My sincerest condolences to Bhadani, to his family, his friends, and those who knew him. He will be missed. Rest in peace Bhadani. If there is a wiki of sorts in the sky, I'm sure you'll make a fine contributor. --TheSandDoctorTalk16:27, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Rest in Peace. He was one of the most prolific Indian contributors and served as an inspiration to many editors. This is a great loss to Wikipedia. --DBigXray23:16, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
